Active Bands 2020

People Pleaser

A band with a story arc too long to explain in a bio, People Pleaser boasts a set of eclectic originals spanning from electrifying punk energy to chill reggae-rock. The mojo of this group is as undeniable as their musical chops!

Empath

Rock Club’s newest band took off from the runway at an unprecedented pace. After only a handful of performances, Empath has already built a strong set of popular rock covers by Pink Floyd, Tool, Green Day, Nirvana and The Raconteurs with original tunes to boot.

Gnarwhal

If Gnarwhal doesn’t make you lol during their set, then you should really get off your phone during the show. This supergroup of talented and experienced teens threw the rule book out the window long ago and has never looked back.

From quirky originals to reimagined classics, and self-described as “meme-rock”, don’t miss your chance to see what Gnarwhal has cooked up for the masses. Sets include covers by Green Day, Deftones, Journey, War and maybe a cartoon show theme or two.

Does This inc. stick;

The youngest active group in the Rock Club program, Does This Inc. Stick; won an award for musicianship at RockFest 2019 as the 7th grade trio who knocked out covers by The Pixies, Ozzy, AC/DC and Green Day with ease.

Now, with a blend of originals and current hip-hop to mix with their rock roots, this band has one year left of middle school to prove their status amongst their senior rivals.

Behind the Meaning

With a growing set of unique, original alt-rock tunes, Behind The Meaning has been a part of the ROCK CLUB program for over 4 years. Their newest single, Affliction, can be found on the 2019 Compilation Album.

Current covers include songs by Guns N’ Roses, Green Day and Blink-182

Lemniscate

Starting as a concept with a front-man and a demo, this band quickly went from 0-60 as a five piece original hard rock outfit.

Lemniscate is a super-group made up of prominent musicians from past bands such as Violet Ice, Behind the Meaning, Point Blank and Candy Gore. It’s a heavy, loud and always captivating experience and if you get lucky, they might even bust out an old Metallica number.

Point BlanK

The closest thing to an alterna-pop group Rock Club has to offer, this band has a long career in the cover game who went into full writing mode in 2019 and never looked back.

With feel good vibes and soulful guitar solos, Point Blank feels like a blend between indie and classic rock with wide appeal across all audiences.
